This existing garden had an expansive property however very limited outdoor living space. A generous courtyard was extended out from the living room of the house to give the clients an additional outdoor “room” for entertaining. This included a stone wall for privacy and shelter which provided an area for bench space, cupboard storage, a built in BBQ, and an outdoor fire. Further schist stone planter boxes define the courtyard with a broad opening providing flow onto the generous lawn. An existing sunken garden was completely revamped with schist walling and linkage was created to this area from the courtyard through generous stone steps.
