Georgie P are the chosen landscape architects for the Lifestyle Retirement Village. Design began in late 2009 with completion of Stage one, being the first 13 villas and the front entrance feature, in March 2011. Stage two design is currently under way. We were also responsible for the overall masterplanning of the site.

The design poses many challenges with gardens needing to be sympathetic to the needs of the elderly and suitable in the context of a semi rural landscape.

Some of the many design features that we have incorporated in to these gardens are:

• A raised garden for every villa which allows residents to still do gardening if they so wish, be it flowers, vegetables or a mixture of both.
• Privacy screening where necessary, whilst still allowing security and a sense of community within the site.
• Trees and plants that create seasonal interest but still give structure in the winter months.
• Specification of simple natural materials that are sustainable and timeless
